PROFESOR

(VERSIÓN INGLESA. Versión en castellano  más abajo)

Prof. dr hab. inż. arch. Janusz Rębielak, that's the name of my teacher, the one whom I have to agree about my Final Project. Today, finally, our first class of "Building Structures", although I think that I won't assist to many more of them: J.Rębielak want me to have longer meetings in his office, we need an extra work with longer conversations than only ten or fifteen minutes of conversation everyweek.

The lecture has been great. The first half, awesome, similar to the well known powerpoints of Miquel Llorens, about the changes in building structures since XIX century. The second one, about geodesical domes and tridimensional structures. Even with a little comentary of a software that I want to prove to generate geometric dispositions of finite elements. He has been so kind giving me the word file of his english book Shaping of space structures. Now it's my turn to read, try the Formian language of programming and prepare some topics to research and devolope about my Final Project.

But some of you maybe are asking about what happen here since I wrote my last entrance, more than a week ago. Well, the greatest party of all Erasmus Experience in Julie, Caroline & Michele flat's, that's for sure. I enjoyed all the party, and all of you who were there know that is true (you also know that the events that happened after the police arrived aren't kind to explain). Also, the same morning, a great hiking time in the Ojców National Park with Miriam, Tassilo, Martha, Yuri (what great night after that, big man!), Andris, Joanna and Pauline.

Imagine that place all white in snow...
I would love to repeat that: the fellows, the raspberrys, the landscapes, the discussion about rugby vs. american football... One of the greatest moments: when Andris told me: "Hey Ben, luck that you've come with us, your insistence about leave the road and climb a little bit has let us to enjoy better places and landscapes..." Thank you Andris! I know that maybe it can be a little "without-breathin' " but it allways worths it.

Ah! I almost forget it! The first time in my life that I was in the Opera! La Traviata! First time to everybody: Julie, Michele (he is italian and he didn't understand a word!), Flashing Nerea and me! Great moments, doesn't matter about understanding lyrics, live opera is magnificient. After that, live jazz sesion in one of these underground (literally speaking) pubs near the Rynek.

P.S. If somebody doesn't know why Nerea is "Flashing"... well, ask her!

Shaping of space structures.

Ah! Casi me olvidaba!

  1. Hi Ben!
Thanks for the english version, your blog is much more understandable now (at least for me:))! Maybe I'll do the same with mine! The weekend was crazy, indeed!:)
I'm glad that all of you enjoyed the opera, but I hope we can see one together sometime! Take care!
